The state secretary Dr. Guenther Horzetzky from the Ministry for Economy, Energy, Building, Housing and Transport of the Land North Rhine-Westphalia paid a visit to the state company MPA NRW.
On Thursday, 10 February 2011 the state secretary took the time to receive an on-site impression of the work of the Materials Testing Office in Dortmund.After a warm welcome by company director Jens-Peter Steuck the next up on the agenda was an exchange of ideas with the executive staff of the MPA NRW on the subject of development potentials and prospects of the MPA NRW.During the following walkabout through various laboratories Dr. Guenther Horzetzky could thoroughly acquaint himself with the testing facilites and the testing work of the MPA NRW. In the glass laboratory he was also able to “do a good job” and have a try at testing a motor vehicle safety glazing as a testing expert (see photo).Besides the laboratory for safety glass the walkabout also led the visitor from Dusseldorf to the laboratory for long-term performance tests for doors and to the highly safety-related area of personal dosimetry.
