Measurements in the field of radiation protection demand absolute reliability. Therefore the quality assurance for radiation protection is a key issue. In the field of personal dosimetry official dosimeters with design approval are offered by the Federal Physical-Technical Institute (PTB) that are continuously controlled by participating in regular national and international comparison measurements. Of course the measuring point has been accredited as a testing laboratory according to ISO 17025. Radioactivity measurements and radon determination have also been permitted according to ISO 17025.
