WELL – Water Efficiency Labelling

The Product Classification System WELL is offered by EUnited Valves and is used for i. a. sanitary taps (washbasin, bidet and shower valves and accessory). It is a system for the evaluation of sanitary taps with regard to their energy efficiency and resource conservation including the aspect of comfort.

A partner test institute of EUnited Valves with an ISO/IEC accreditation has to verify that the individual WELL-Criteria have been met. The MPA NRW is one of these partner test institutes and is authorised to test sanitary taps for household use according to the WELL-Classification Scheme. The WELL-Label is then awarded by EUnited Valves.

Please note: The basic requirement for the WELL-Classification is that the corresponding product fulfils the relevant product standard (EU-standards), so far any exist. The MPA NRW possesses the testing expertise according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 in order to conduct tests according to the product standards of diverse sanitary taps (e.g. DIN EN 200, DIN EN 817).
