Calibration: Clients benefit from the quality and independence of test services
More and more quality management systems of the manufacturing companies demand that tool testing machines should be verified at least once a year. The MPA NRW has been working in the testing and calibration business since its foundation in 1974 and since then has been leading due to its close cooperation with renowned companies especially in the Ruhr district. It is the only laboratory in Europe that can offer its clients a test of the tensile and compressive forces from one newton to twenty meganewtons.
The calibration laboratories of the MPA NRW have been accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 for tool testing machines, hardness reference blocks and indenters, electrical quantities, temperature and relative humidity as well as tensile and compressive forces, stress ratio, compression.
The MPA NRW has been accredited in the named fields by the Deutscher Kalibrierdienst (DKD) (German Calibration Service) resp. the Akkreditierungssystem Prüfwesen (DAP) (German Accreditation System for Testing): DKD-K-06301 and DAP-PL-2600.34.
Yellow Control Card as quality certificate
Independence as well as technical and staff quality in the testing laboratory are the strong points of the MPA NRW: As a state company it can especially offer its clients the independence of the testing services: the MPA NRW neither produces testing facilities nor sells products that have something to do with tool testing machines. Therefore the clients also regard the yellow control card issued after a test and containing the ascertained test results as a quality certificate. As the testing engineers regularly participate in national and international bodies the MPA NRW guarantees its clients testing and advisory services that are the state of the art.
Hardness reference blocks: Download Software
A further advantage is that the field of calibration is embedded in the company MPA NRW. The engineers responsible for calibration receive an 18 months of training in all departments and thus become acquainted with as many possible materials and their properties. This is rather unusual in this business.
As a special service in the field of hardness the MPA NRW offers a software to be downloaded with which the buyer of a hardness reference block can evaluate his test results.
